TIS Cache Server

To speed up delivery of test items and to conserve bandwidth, CMD Learning offers the TIS Cache Server† as a free download. You should consider using the TIS Cache Server in the following situations:

  • Limited bandwidth - Using the TIS Cache Server, each student only uses about 2 - 4 Kbps of bandwidth while taking a test. This means a T1 (1.5 Mbps) can handle roughly 500 students testing concurrently.

  • Many students testing at once - Using the TIS Cache Server, TIS will be more responsive when large numbers of students are testing concurrently.
